Monday Bunday: Pretty as a Picture

Fellow bunny owners will understand the alarm I felt when Cadbury hopped up here the other night:

I guess he wanted to see how he compared to the rabbits in this picture:

You look fine, Cadbury. And I hope you like the piece of carpet now covering the top of your cage so your feet don't get stuck if you try that stunt again.

Audrey at Hermann Park

As part of Audrey's ongoing adventures, she recently went to Hermann Park. Here she is at the iconic statue of Sam Houston at the park entrance.

There were some very nice yellow flowers at the base that she liked.

Next she went to see the ducks.

Needing other ideas for things to see at the park, she conferred with this guy:

Upon the conquistador's recommendation, she decided to check out the botanical gardens. She quickly realized she blended right in with the bricks. Camouflage!

And she was beyond thrilled to find an herb garden geared toward a bunny's tastes:

And here she is resting, enjoying the pretty day. It's good to be a bunny!

It looks like we have offers to host Audrey in Washington DC and Philadelphia, so it so she'll have no shortage of adventures once she's done here. We aren't finished yet, though, so keep checking back for more!

More Audrey: Outdoor Fun

Recently, Audrey had a chance to get out and enjoy the city. Here she is at a quiet little park near the museums.

And here we see her posing with a famous explorer. Journeying to new places is an ambition she can relate to, although her motive is usually carrots, not carats.

Next, Audrey went to the sculpture garden, where she was told not to pose on the artwork. Oops.

And finally, here she is outside the Carl Jung Center. Can you spot the bunny?

More Audrey later this week!

Monday Bunday: Bunny Love

As we can see here, not only have Cadbury and Audrey become fast friends, they've also taken over my computer chair together.

Audrey had a fun weekend of exciting activities that I'll be posting this week, so plan to check back soon!

Audrey: A Day at the Office

Since I had a lot of work to do today, I took Audrey to the office with me, thinking she could be of help.

First, she attended orientation where she learned about her benefits.

Then I set her to work.

Soon I found she was getting distracted by the internet.

So I put her on a different task. She seemed to enjoy working with my bunny-shaped paper clips.

After she got my files organized, I sent her to do some copying.

But when she didn't come back in a timely fashion, I went to check up on her. As you can see here, she was goofing off, making photocopies of her bunny butt!

I sat her down in my office for a little chat about her work ethic.

We both agreed that employment in a human resources office just isn't for her. Tomorrow she'll return to normal vacation activities and lounging, which is really all a bunny wants from life, anyway.

Monday Bunday: More Audrey

On Sunday, Audrey and I went grocery shopping. One thing I needed was some bananas:

Audrey also recommended I check out the nectarines:

Then she sampled some carrots, but skipped the different salad dressings that were also available to sample:

No, Audrey. That's not for bunnies!

Later in the day, she settled in for some hay time, and Cadbury was so glad to have her back that he gave her a kiss.

Have a nice week, everybunny, and keep checking back for more Audrey! We have an offer for her to visit Washington D.C. once she's done here, but there's still a lot more to see and do, so stay tuned!

Announcement: Audrey Is Here!

As many of you know, Audrey is a world traveler, visiting bunny friends in many places. Today, she arrived in Houston:

Cadbury was on hand to welcome her...

...and check out what she brought with her. Pictures and brochures from her recent trip to British Columbia!

Cadbury was quite smitten and gave Audrey a kiss.

Cadbury: I sure hope she stays awhile!

But we were a little concerned for Audrey's welfare after that long trip in a cardboard box. She arrived quite warm, due to it being so hot in August, so we thought it would be a good idea to get her checked out by the vet.

Leaving the neighborhood...

...and on the road, heading toward the Medical Center. Audrey was very curious about her surroundings, which we took to be a good sign.

We got her checked in at Cadbury's vet...

...and the tech took her into a room and gave her a checkup.

Now that Audrey had a clean bill of health, it was time for lunch. We took her to an Indian restaurant in the Rice Village, where she seemed overwhelmed by all the food options.

But we know what bunnies like, so we fixed Audrey her own plate of curried carrots...

...and a piece of watermelon for dessert!

And then we brought our weary traveler home for a nap.

Check back over the next few days for more of Audrey's adventures!

Monday Bunday: Performance Art

Last week, Cadbury demonstrated his talent at balancing a block. Here he is showcasing some of his other balancing tricks.

How's that for talent?

Have a good week, everybunny!

Monday Bunday: Sincerest Form of Flattery

This weekend, I caught Cadbury practicing the moves of a couple of famous web bunnies:

Here he is practicing Hans' "I own the world" stance.

And here he is practicing Oolong-style head performances.

This is all quite adorable, Cadbury, but it's important we remember to always be ourselves!
