Miss Mama used to have luminarias set up along the walkway to our front door from the driveway each year for our annual Christmas Eve soiree. It was always so magical once they were lit. Who knew a plain, boxy brick house could look so good?
Our neighborhood used to do luminaria, too, but every family was responsible for making them on their own. The tradition died out when more of us non-celebrating families moved in, but I have always liked the way they look.

Oh gosh how pretty. We helped do them in Sedona at Telaquepaque (?) one year and it was really something!
The 'hood across the street from us does this. It's a big neighborhood too! We drove all around it to enjoy.
ohhh! The buns and I love these! we might have to do them next year...
