Recipe Share: OMG Seriously Good!

I made this Mac and Cheese recipe today, and let me tell you, this is some seriously good stuff. I doubled the recipe, thinking eight ounces of macaroni wasn't very much, and not noticing the part about having to double three cups of milk into six, etc. At one point I found myself thinking I had seriously screwed up by making so much, but then I tasted it.

Bliss.

If I hadn't doubled the recipe, Dan and I would've ended up fighting over it.

This was my first time making macaroni and cheese from scratch and I was surprised at how easy it was, so don't be intimidated if your only experience is with boxed recipes. Make this for someone you love. Or better yet, make it for someone you hate. They'll end up loving you, and won't that be nice?

We just make velvetta mac & cheese, how embrassing compared to this!

I love mac and cheese and make it all kinds of ways, and now I have a new one--thanks! I may not even need ketchup for it (one of my few food weirdnesses).

This is very similar to my recipe, except for the garam masala. I must try adding that!
And I can't stand the boxed mac'n'cheese, so this is the only way to go!!
If you're in a hurry, you can skip the baking in the oven part, but then you don't have that lovely crust on top.

That M and C makes a pretty picture too. My mother could make it nice and toasted on top like that.

BL has a couple killer recipes too .. she also usually tosses in extra pasta and then needs more this and that and soon we have anough for a large group!!!

I LOVE mac and cheese! I will have to try this one day. Yes, doubling the pasta would be a must around here. Wait, so you doubled JUST the pasta and kept everything else the same or did you double all the ingredients?
