Announcement: Audrey Is Here!

As many of you know, Audrey is a world traveler, visiting bunny friends in many places. Today, she arrived in Houston:

Cadbury was on hand to welcome her...

...and check out what she brought with her. Pictures and brochures from her recent trip to British Columbia!

Cadbury was quite smitten and gave Audrey a kiss.

Cadbury: I sure hope she stays awhile!

But we were a little concerned for Audrey's welfare after that long trip in a cardboard box. She arrived quite warm, due to it being so hot in August, so we thought it would be a good idea to get her checked out by the vet.

Leaving the neighborhood...

...and on the road, heading toward the Medical Center. Audrey was very curious about her surroundings, which we took to be a good sign.

We got her checked in at Cadbury's vet...

...and the tech took her into a room and gave her a checkup.

Now that Audrey had a clean bill of health, it was time for lunch. We took her to an Indian restaurant in the Rice Village, where she seemed overwhelmed by all the food options.

But we know what bunnies like, so we fixed Audrey her own plate of curried carrots...

...and a piece of watermelon for dessert!

And then we brought our weary traveler home for a nap.

Check back over the next few days for more of Audrey's adventures!

Oh wowie, Cadbury, you've gotta gurlfurriend! She's a furry beeyootiful gurl bun. We Ballicai are furry glad that she hadded a good checkup from the v.e.t. and that she gotted to nibble on some Indian foodies (Momma thinks Indian foodies is yummiferous!). And she looks supercomfycozy in her basket with her blankie.

I hope she has a great vizzit with you!

Does Cadbury ever get to eat at the Indian Restaurant? How nice of the vet to be sure Audrey was up all this. Would have loved to have the fly on the wall as you explained Audrey LOL......

LOL! I love the vet visit! But unfortunately, it looks like she did not eat her raita.

Note about G-Bun. If you could get your husband to agree, I'd be more than happy to get on a plane with her and fly with her to Houston....I'm quite sure Patti would ok it... (I do understand about the delicate negotiations involved in such things. Tom put his foot down and there's no moving it, and I'm thinking that Dan may well feel the same way. Just thought I'd try. I sent Tom a copy of the picture, though--he hasn't seen it yet. It really is heart-rending.)

Oh, and if no one has signed up for Audrey, I'll be happy to be the next host!

Glad the vet checked her out, and Cadbury definitely seems smitten!

Hef's dad just leaned over my shoulder since he saw me giggling and said "What the- thats a stuffed rabbit. Someone is holding a stethascope to a stuffed rabbit," Hef and I just kept up our giggles and I said "I don't know how to explain this to you"

Audrey is very lucky to have such a concerned hostess! Of course, a trip to the vet isn't exactly on a bunny's vacation wish list :)

What a fab idea! I love Audrey! What I really want to ask though, is how on earth did you explain what you wnated so they'd co-operate at the vets? And di they keep a straight face! :)
