Monday Bunday: Post-Valentine Check-In

It was another busy weekend here at the house of Cadbury. I wrote three new stories, one of which I sent off to a contest, the other two are here and here.

My Saturday long run was cold, but at least not windy. After three weeks of excellent garage sale luck, I struck out this time. That's not surprising, though. It's actually pretty unusual for me to find stuff I like that's small enough to carry home and also worth the trouble. But plotting my routes around garage sales has really helped renew my interest in these outings. I've been doing this for ten years now and I find myself struggling for new route ideas.

Cadbury has some cilantro, parsley, and lettuce sprouting in pots on the porch, and I'm anxiously checking my potato bed each day, hoping the rain didn't ruin them. I meant to plant chard this weekend but ran out of time, due to a late start on the Sunday shopping, then household chores and baking, and a long spin and weight session. Well, there's always next week.

Don't worry, Cadbury. You'll get your chard!

I'm not worried. I like hanging out under this chair, though. The world is a scary place and I feel safe here.

Happy Monday, everyone!

Dont blame you one bit Cadbury. I would hide under there with you if I would fit. You gotta come out for greens though, they are worth it.

Cadbury - it sounds like there's a future feast for you growing in pots,

Salad!! And I agree with Christina--the world is a scary place, and I'd be under there with you.

I supposed to leave for work any minute now, mind if I join you under there instead?

So right about the world. I'd hide with you if I could.

Lucky Cadbury to have his own farm, grocery store, and restaurant so close by.

And the garage sale idea is a great one; what a creative way to make runs more interesting!

Yes, sometimes hiding under a chair is definitely in order.

Oooh, flash contest -- cool beans! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Good luck with your growing things, my friend! Sounds like Cadbury will have good yummies. :)

Wow! Busy! Writing, running, shopping...keeps you out of mischief!

Cadbury's right -- there's nothing like sitting under a chair. Keeps you safe from any hawks who might fly through the house!

Sounds like a lot of wimpy excuses for not planting the chard. Let's get cracking with the chard ....

Lucky Cadbury to have fresh greens!

Sorry to hear the garage sales were a bust this weekend, but there's always next week!

Happy belated Valentine's Day!

I'm sure Cadbury will help you eat up everything that sprouts!
