Monday Bunday: At the Trough

Okay, so it's not really a trough. Managing the hay when bunny is free to roam can be something of a problem, though. Cadbury is better than other bunnies I've had about not needing to take the food all over the room, searching for the perfect place to dine. It makes things easier when he'll eat out of the wooden toy box.

I never thought about the traveling snacks issue.

Our cat is messy enough with her kibble as it is; can't imagine the trouble we'd be in if it were more portable!

Cadbury is a very refined, considerate bun, but the sounds of things!

Freckles leaves the hay alone, it's any paper she can find that she rips and spreads!

That looks quite contained, Tyler and Sydney have a bit of a hay mess going on, but that is partially my fault for not solving their needs.......

My .. no chew marks on the box either! Quite the Cadbury!

Savannah somehow manages to get little pieces of the remnants of chewing her box up onto the windowsill where she never goes! It happens in the night!

*grin*! Cadbury looks adorable eating out of his wooden toy box. MaoMao must be part bun because he loves to knock his food all over the kitchen. I call it The Foodie Game. :)

Cadbury has good table manners! I don't have much trouble with hay.. somehow the buns don't feel a need to drag hay out from their litter box, but they just love to drag their greens all over the place. I spend my mornings picking remnants from last night's salad off the floor.

Cadbury is so clean! Our two make a mess no matter what they are eating. I'm constantly cleaning up after them!

Cadbury has perfect table manners indeed, and doesn't chew wood. Could it be that it is mostly the females that are a bit...ahem... messy? Miss Eve could learn a thing or two from Cadbury... she won't eat hay out of the litter tray or drag it anywhere, but you should see the salad bowl when she's eating....pick up a leaf, chew a bit, drop on floor... pick up next green bit, chew a bit, drop on floor... oh well....

I don't think Mario would be able to cope with this. He equates hay-in-a-box with "litterbox." He is pretty smart, though, because once I used a spare litterbox as a dig box. It had a little bit of shredded newspaper for him to push around. I was so proud when he jumped in and dug, dug, dug, but never once peed!

If Cadbury ever invited him over to play, he'd jump into that hay dispenser and insult his host!
