Monday Bunday: Just Peachy

Things are just peachy here at the House of Cadbury!

Cadbury and Lola still haven't interacted, although sometimes Lola wanders up to the cage and looks at him. She seems to understand that the study is Bunny Territory and she rarely goes into that room. Of course, when Cadbury is out, the door is shut and the cat can't go in at all. I'm not sure when I'll let them get formally acquainted, but for now there seems to be no need.

This week, the nasal and sinus congestion I had last weekend settled into my lungs and I haven't been able to work out. It's been frustrating, but the last thing I wanted was to make things worse by pushing myself. I'm doing better now, though, so I think I'm ready to start carefully resuming my normal activities. The strange thing about all this has been that my energy level was never low and I never had a fever or other symptoms of a real illness - just coughing, sneezing, sinus pressure, and lots of thick, sticky mucus.

Yeah, I know. TMI.

Have a great week, everyone!

Cadbury and Lola will make friends as soon as Cadbury shows Lola who is the boss.
I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Yikes on the congestion--maybe allergy-driven rather than illness? The allergy kind makes you feel just as bad. Our cats and bunnies don't usually interact either--they don't seem to have that much interest. Hope you feel better soon!

I had a bout with that gunk and it took a while to go away - good luck with your recovery! I'm usually pleasantly surprised at how bouncy my stride feels after a forced rest period so there's that to look forward too, perhaps.

When our cats and rabbits had to share a room because of painting, even the feral cat just reached out a paw to the rabbits in the exercise pen. There was actually more curiosity on the rabbits' part--they were looking for additional minions.

It almost does sound like you ran into something you were allergic to--hope you feel better.

Give it time. No reason to rush them into being best friends.

I was thinking allergies too... Hate to say it, but, maybe it's Lola??

In any case, hope you feel better!

I hope you feel better soon. As much as I hate feeling low-energy sick, it is super frustrating to feel okay but have all that other stuff going on.

Lola!!

Awww, such a cute picture of Cadbury. Cute that Lola goes up to his cage and looks at him. :) She sounds like such a sweet kitty.

Congestion is no fun. I'm glad you're doing better. Take care, and get still better and better!
