Bunnygirl,
A little known fact about me is, I'm actually a certified fitness professional. An aerobics teacher, that is. I had about as much control over that happening, as my fictional proxy has over visits from Odin.
The point is, I agree with your assessment of marathon readiness. Listen to your medical professionals, and definitely take it easy until you're ready.
