Signs of Progress

The tree cutters are in our area today, removing the trees from the power lines. Yay! It's a step in the right direction. I just hope once the trees are removed it will be a simple task to get the power restored.

For everyone who keeps asking, we haven't used the soda can stove and now that we have access to our neighbor's house with a gas stove, we won't be doing any more camp cooking. Here is a website that talks about the soda can stove, though: Best Camp Stove Ever

Please be patient with me. I have no electricity or internet at home. It takes a long time to do basic tasks and I'm expected to be at work every day now, too.

Who do we complain to about you having to be at work? I think that is a bit ridiculous. You take car, thanks for the soda can stove, I'm going to take a look at that.

OOps. I meant take care, not car, you will most likely take your car......

Hope your power is restored quickly! And damn them for making you work at this time, but I suppose it helps maintain a sense of normality.

Thanks for keeping up with your blog during this stressful time - it's made the whole thing more "real" to me, rather than just 'yet another disaster far away' to watch on the news and tut-tut over.

I suppose someone had the idea that routine stuff like going to work would be a psychological help.
I do not agree with this idea.
Hope everything gets back to normal quickly.

Way cool little cook stove! And such a bummer about having to go to work with no power and so much to do. :(
